Best Multi effects pedal for Electric guitar?

I have a Zoom G2.1u (has the expression pedal, USB port, and software). It is a great pedal and very well built. I have used it every day for several years and have no complaints about it. I've used the Digitech RP pedals and would consider them a step down and not well built (cheap plastic body). The BOSS pedals you mentioned are both good. Make sure you get one with an expression pedal if you're going to "upgrade" though. I really like the Line6 effects (POD XT). You can get a separate expression pedal to go with that or get the POD XT Live which has one. The lead guitarist in our band uses one and it is a great setup but I think it would blow your budget.
