Is my friend Joshua a Jerk?

I told him I don't believe in premarital and he says he feels sorry for any guy that is stupid enough to date me. He thinks woman are like beef, pork, and steak that you just consume to gratify your own selfish desires... I would never let a freak like that control me. He admitted that he had feelings for me but never attempted to date me simply because I made it clear I would never sleep with him before marriage. There was a nurse in trainig who was studying and working full time, 14 hour days... She liked him, had a great deal of respect for him and was really kind to him... And he wouldn't go out with her because she played hard to get when he asked her out... I think he is incredibly selfish. You expert this woman to marry you and give birth to your children but you are too selfish to pursue her and left her know that you really want her? When I said that to him, he says "I never said I wanted to marry her."
