A CT scan of the brain will rule out most nasties in this scenario. A CT scan of the brain will show any gross pathology (ie, brain tumours), intracranial bleeds, haemorrhages or meningitis. If you had an intravenous contrast injection, it will also show the blood vessels in your brain and through your eyes, as well as the pituitary gland.
