How do I get rid or repel worms and the like?? Pls help me. I'm traumatic.?

Yesterday, my kitchen was crawling with 4 or 5 centipedes. Today there was a nest of maggots on my garbage lid and I almost touched them. There was also a centipede crawling in my housemate's room the other day. I have a major trauma of worms/centipedes/millipedes etc. and I just cannot stand even looking at them. I'm absolutely petrified and I need to know how I can get rid of or at least repel them from coming in my room. Any solutions? I know the rainy season is making it worse but I need to at least do something to prevent them from crawling into my room. Please help...
