I just did think of something and that is if your rat has a URI & ear infection you may want to give her an antibiotic called amoxicillin. You may be able to get it from a pet store as Fish Moxi (or something like that), You can also call Jedd's Pigeon supplies 800-659-5982. If you order from them, don't say it's for rats, say it's for birds. the dosage for amoxi is 10-50 mg per pound of weight so you'll need to weigh your rat. anyhow I hope that this info helps.
