Why are people so obsessed with virgins?

Isn't it more important to care about the person and deal with whether or not they are a virgin or not later? There is not long 'training' period if your lover is a virgin, you can both learn together. If she has had before, this does not mean she isn't tight or is 'damaged' either. If you are close enough to someone to have together, you can figure out what to do together and virginity or not shouldn't be that much of a problem. Good luck.
