Does anyone know of a way to get housing other than section 8 or get section 8 faster?

My ex broke up with me when I was 5 months pregnant and I wasnt expecting any of this. I Was put out expected to find a place to live and survive on my own. I wasnt prepared and wasnt working. I applied for food stamps and got that and on WIC but I am living in a camper right now and that goes away in a month I still have 3 months until my daughter is born and dont have enough money saved up for my own place yet but am saving every dollar. Is there anyway where I can get low income housing with out the waiting list? We broke up andI applied for housing but now I am on a waiting list for 8 months and dont know what I am going to do until then...please help
