Why don't mares get "morning sickness" (and frequently colic) during pregnancy?

morning sickness is a result of the increased hormones in the body, which mares would have when pregnant. we all know horses can't vomit, so why isn't it common for a mare to frequently colic during pregnancy? do they just not get "morning sickness" the ways humans do?
